(Poem 242 for 2024 – I am writing a poem a day)

I paid closer attention to Kingsley Shacklebolt
this time through the Order and found myself
wishing for more of his story, especially knowing
that he eventually became the Minister of Magic.
Not only does he look quite kingsly, but he is in
the inner circle of Dumbledore’s most trusted
friends, a fierce protector of Harry, and brave
in combat against multiple evil villains repeatedly.
We would be about the same age in real life.
He is a man I would love to meet could he step
from the pages and sit with me for a cup of tea.
