I won the last daily challenge, so I had to make up this next one. I called it “Out of Place” and we had to create an image of something that clearly doesn’t belong where it is. Put the familiar somewhere impossible, unexpected, or wonderfully wrong, like a garden floating in space, an ice-skating rink in the desert, a colossal statue rising from the middle of the ocean, or anything else your imagination can misplace. The only rule: make us wonder, “What is THAT doing THERE?”
9/6/26 “Ice on Sand”
The next challenge was to make up a Saturday morning cartoon that might make us think of the classics.
9/7/26 “The Bad Luck Club”
The next challenge was pretty complicated and have many moving parts. There had to be a modern-day traveler entering an old, abandoned speakeasy. There had to be a mysterious doorway to transport the traveler to a 1920s glamourous flapper party. There had to be a magical wardrobe filled with costumes, guests dancing, golden lightning, a strange clue suggesting that this is a repeat visit, a chosen outfit, and a concern about staying past midnight. Whew! That was a lot to try to make happen in one image!
9/8/26 “Next Time, Leave By Midnight”
I won that one, so here is the challenge I made up for the next day: THIS IS WHY THE ALIENS WON’T VISIT Create the scene aliens witnessed that convinced them Earth wasn’t ready for first contact. It can be something ridiculous humans actually do or something completely invented. My Example: “Human Chaos” (This is practically an actual photo of my life right now. lol)
9/9/26 “Human Chaos”
The next challenge was to depict a battle between 2 of the 5 elements: fire, ice, earth, air, and water.
9/10/26 “Elemental Gambit”
The next one was hard because reflections are difficult for AI and the challenge had to reveal something important only in reflection.
9/11/26 “The Way It Was”
The last challenge of the week was to show a mythical or imaginary creature helping someone in an unexpected way.
9/12/26 “Winged Sentinel”
And here are some of the honorable mentions that I did not submit, but still published on my art website:
